It’s been over a year since we launched BOOM Magazine, Louisville’s first annual guide and update on downtown development and revitalization. With more than $2 billion worth of projects that are under way or planned in the next three years. Boom ‘08 covers downtown’s continuing growth and excitement.

As downtown moves forward, we discovered that our city is taking on a cool vibe thanks to some of Louisville’s revered ‘creative class’…those folks that breathe life and personality into their projects.

These people are artists, designers, retailers, and business folks who are visionaries rich with original ideas who are shaping what is unique to downtown.

We also report on the ‘centerpiece’ projects including Museum Plaza, Downtown Arena, Center City entertainment zone, and Iron Quarter along with many of condo developments that are peppering the urban landscape. These are all helping to transform downtown into a world-class urban center.

With more people living downtown and with more entertainment options, boutiques, shops and retail cropping up, we feel the momentum is continuing to grow.
